Affinity Group: Neurodivergent Affinity Group

When was your group created and/or when did you begin serving in your group?

I began serving this fall semester but the committee has been around for a few years now mostly hosted by Jackie.

What does your group do for CWC?

Advocate for better inclusion of Neurodiverse members. Creating a safe space for members of CWC to care for each other. Celebrating neurodivergent joy and kinship.

What is your vision for the future of your group? Any current goals/initiatives?

The vision of the affinity group is to continue expanding and to grow the community. Giving more space to be our own neurodivergent selves. Take information back to the board as needed. (i.e. what are some unspoken rules that get missed in CWC). 1. normalizing accommodations 2. self revelation/learning group talks 3. powerpoint parties 4. celebrating our power as a neurodivergent community

Any favorite projects, initiatives, or events related to your group that you'd like to talk about? 

Powerpoint party, learning activities about neurodivergence, weirdo outings.
