Kristen Stinnett, Artistic Director
Kristen has sung with CWC since 2002 and served on the board for several years including the role of President. She stepped into the role of Artistic Director following Cindy Bizzell, and founding director, Eleanor Sableski. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Campbell University and taught in the public schools for six years. Theatre is a second love and you can often find her volunteering with local community theatres and maybe even on stage. She has been singing with the Oakwood Waits since 2012 and is a former singer of the Choral Society of Durham.

I first heard about the choir from a friend who had been a singer. I had attended several of her concerts and was always left feeling blown away by the performances and the sense of community. After some time, she invited me to join the choir to my response was, "I don't know how to sing". She said, "just come". Since joining, I have learned so much about singing and have developed friendships with a wonderful, loving group of singers. Outside of choir, some of my favorite activities are cooking, gardening, and watching movies.
Marty McClelland, Board Past-President
I joined my voice with the kind hearted warriors of CWC in the spring of 1993. When I am not singing, you might find me on the golf course, or reading a novel, or watching birds, or on an adventure with my wife Debbie or some of our eight grandchildren. I am an NCCU Professor Emerita of Computer Information Systems.
