When was your committee created, and when did you begin serving on your committee?
The four officers of the CWC board make up the executive committee. The executive committee was established when the chorus was registered with the Secretary of State and granted nonprofit status by the IRS over 40 years ago. I began serving on August 1, 2025, when I began my term as president.
What does your committee do for CWC?
We are the people ultimately responsible for ensuring CWC policies, practices, decisions, and actions are in alignment with state and federal laws governing nonprofit organizations.
What do you do for your committee, and what do you enjoy about it?
I convene the executive committee when there is chorus business that needs to be handled between monthly board meetings. At times, we meet when we want to vet issues before taking them to the full board for action. I enjoy previewing issues with the executive committee because it means we can use the full board’s time more efficiently.
What is your vision for the future of your committee? Any current goals/initiatives?
To work together with the board at our January retreat to set goals and plan for the chorus as an organization.

Not right now
