When was your committee created, and when did you begin serving on your committee?

I was asked to chair this committee sometime in 2023, I can't remember for certain. The thinking was a younger person should chair.

What does your committee do for CWC?

I organized Pride last year. We have had a few outings to other community events as well. The official purpose is "Lead the chorus’ mission-driven work outside of the chorus community, as a part of our organization’s overall equity goals."

What do you do for your committee, and what do you enjoy about it?

We've not been active recently as I've been busy with other board duties.

What is your vision for the future of your committee? Any current goals/initiatives?

We may explore ultimately rolling this committee into E&B (Equity & Belonging). I have attended their meetings in the past. I have no goals for this committee in the near future as I am on leave currently.

Any favorite projects, initiatives, or events related to your committee that you'd like to talk about? 

I really enjoyed seeing the Triangle Gay Men's Chorus perform 7 last words of the unarmed, we went to dinner after for a nice discussion. Decorating the truck for the Pride parade was fun.
